Additional Resources for DREAMers Considering Deferred Action

A couple of weeks ago I published a Blog (Wake up DREAMers) discussing what DREAMers need to know about President Obama’s new Executive Order directing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to exercise prosecutorial discretion and grant DREAMersa status called “Deferred Action.”  Since then there have been a number of publications offering a lot of advice to DREAMers and immigration attorneys. DHS has stated that the formal procedures will be announced on August 15, 2012. Despite the fact that DHS has not yet issued details, rules, or applications, there is a lot of information being generated. It is important that DREAMers stay informed and exercise caution.

In today’s blog I am providing a list of helpful community and practice advisories related to Deferred Action for DREAMers from community based organizations, non-profit organizations, and industry associations. I will continue to post updates as they become available. Please stay tuned.
